The fumes created as the fire burns create a unique image\/pattern on the clay, and no two pieces are the same - I have tried to replicate some of my favourites, but it is impossible!!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eCombustibles used include banana skins, orange peel, copper wire, steel wool, sawdust, straw, copper carbonate, coffee, seaweed, salt, coffee, sugar, and many others. The geometric pattern on this piece has been created by wrapping copper wire tightly around the piece during firing. The salt, wire and banana skins have created the grey and pink colours on the piece.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe smoke fired ceramic pendant can be provided either with a waxed cotton necklace (adjustable length 44 - 47cm), or a 46cm sterling silver chain (please add below).
