The fumes created as the fire burns create a unique image\/pattern on the clay, and no two pieces are the same - I have tried to replicate some of my favourites, but it is impossible!!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eCombustibles used include banana skins, orange peel, copper wire, steel wool, sawdust, straw, copper carbonate, coffee, seaweed, salt, coffee, sugar, and many others. The soft grey colour is given from the banana skins that have been place in the saggar alongside the piece, with a thing copper wire pressed against the surface to create darker lines.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe smoke fired ceramic pendant can be provided either with a waxed cotton necklace (adjustable length 44 - 47cm), or a 46cm sterling silver chain (please add below).
