The fumes created as the fire burns create a unique image\/pattern on the clay, and no two pieces are the same - I have tried to replicate some of my favourites, but it is impossible!!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eCombustibles used include banana skins, orange peel, copper wire, steel wool, sawdust, straw, copper carbonate, coffee, seaweed, salt, coffee, sugar, and many others. This particular piece features a unique pattern, created using a variety of salts, seaweed, sawdust and steel wool, that have fumed the pattern onto the clay during firing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe smoke fired ceramic pendant can be provided either with a waxed cotton necklace (adjustable length 44 - 47cm), or a 46cm sterling silver chain (please add below).
