The fumes created as the fire burns create a unique image\/pattern on the clay, and no two pieces are the same - I have tried to replicate some of my favourites, but it is impossible!!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eCombustibles used include banana skins, orange peel, copper wire, steel wool, sawdust, straw, copper carbonate, coffee, seaweed, salt, coffee, sugar, and many others. The brown hues are often created by the coffee grounds that have been added to the saggar alongside the other combustibles, and the dark line forming the ring around the planetary surface was produced by a piece of copper wire wrapped around the piece.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis smoke fired stoneware pendant can be provided either with a waxed cotton necklace (adjustable length 44 - 47cm), or a 46cm sterling silver chain (please add below).
